The life of a movie star would be eventful. One movie is done and another is ready to go due to the stereotype that an artist has to star in as many movies as possible in order to win many prestigious awards as an actor. Nevertheless, one of the most selective actors in the film industry, Daniel Day-Lewis refutes this hypothesis.

Despite starring in only six films since 1998 with up to five years between roles, he managed to establish himself as the only male actor in history to win three awards in the lead actor category and the one of only three male actors to win three Oscars. He has also won four BAFTA Awards for Best Actor, three Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.
